Isaiah and Becky's Wedding

On Saturday, September 4th, Flynn and I had the privilege of playing our violins at a friend's wedding. It was one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever attended. It was a blessing and encouragement to see two young people, who have strived to keep the Lord first in their life and stay pure, get married. It was an honor to play for this happy occasion!

Backpacking Trip

A few weeks ago our family took a backpacking trip way out into the middle of nowhere Montana. It was an amazing trip to go on and the hike (in Mom's words) was grueling. Carrying a 30 pound pack, for 5 hours, up a trail that has hardly been used, and sometimes the trail being so steep that you had to crawl on your hands and knees does get tiring, but it was worth it! We thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait for next summer... although we would like to stay for more than one night next year. We took several pictures trying to capture the beauty of God's creation, but I'm not sure that they will do it justice. I hope you enjoy the picts. :)

No worries, I haven't turned into a tree hugger :) I was amazed at the size of this tree. Actually, more amazed that the rocks above it hadn't fallen down and taken the tree with them!

This is a rock slide off to the side of the camping area. It is fun to sit there at night and listen to the rocks rolling down it (from a safe distance of course)

Dad and Mom found the perfect spot to relax for the afternoon. They even caught a few fish :)

This is the first fish Mom has ever caught. She was pretty excited!

The one nice thing about this lake is that you can almost count on catching fish. I got one on my first cast. I'm not very patient when it comes to fishing, so that is the way I like to do it! :D

This picture amuses me because our dog insisted on watching while we were taking pictures.

The thing I like most about this trip is that it reminds of how wonderful a Saviour we serve. Our God is an artist who has never made a mistake! When I sit there and look at all the beauty he has created it makes me want to serve him as much as I possibly can. It is incredible that he would make all of this amazing creation for us to enjoy. Even more amazing is that he would send his only Son to pay the penalty for my sins so that I don't have to make the payment. What a wonderful gift he has offered to us!

As I travel through this land all the beauty I behold

from the glory of the mountains

to the mysteries untold.

How I marvel at the wonders that my God has set in place

I'm reminded he's the only one deserving of my praise!

Sorry, I forgot to add this video to our post about the Bible conference. This is the famous flautist that we have all been so anxious to meet and see perform. I hope you enjoy!

Here are a few pictures from the Bible conference we went to a few weeks ago. If you have never gone to the Big Sky Bible Conference you've missed out. It is really a blessing and the singing is like nothing else you've ever heard. I heard someone describe it as a week of "heaven on earth." The preaching is great, the singing is great, and the fellowship is a blessing. I encourage you to put it on your calendar for next year! Anyway, here are a few picts that we took during the week.

Hello Everyone,

I know it has been awhile since we have updated with pictures, but don't feel neglected, there are some on the way in the near future. :)

Last week we went to a Bible conference in Dillon, MT, and God blessed tremendously. It is always fun to watch how God works things out in people's lives during Bible conferences, and by people being faithful in God's Word. God is so good to us!

I write this post to encourage all my friends to keep on serving God Almighty. The going is tough right now for many Christians, young and old. I've lost many friends to the ways of this world, but I encourage those of you still in the battle to keep fighting, and those of you who are no longer in the battle, to join back up!

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Joshua 1:9-10

God is offering an amazing opportunity to serve him right now and I encourage you to join in serving the Lord. Be strong and of good courage!
