Nutcracker

Last weekend Erin, Flynn, and I took Esther,

Katherine, and Anna to the Nutcracker.

I think it was the first time any of us had ever

gone to a ballet and we really enjoyed it!

The girls dressed in their finest

to enjoy their evening out.

Don't they look adorable?

We all had so much fun!

in the first post so I added a few more)

Before the ballet we went to City Brew and got mochas and steamers

(depending on your age:-)

They loved the first half and couldn't wait for

the 2nd half of the performance to start!

Afterwards, Anna insisted that we walk to the docks and look over Flathead Lake. She kept calling, "Her fishy, fishy!" :) It was pretty cute!

We all had so much fun! I think it might be a good yearly tradition =)

Another Thanksgiving Post...

These verses were an encouragement to me at church today

and they are another reminder of how good God is to us

and why we should praise him!

Psalm 111

Praise ye the Lord. I will praise the Lord with my whole heart,

in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.

The works of the Lord are great,

and sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.

His work is honourable and glorious:

and his righteousness endureth for ever.

He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered:

the Lord is gracious and full of compassion.

He hath given meat unto them that fear him:

he will ever be mindful of his covenant.

He hath shewed his people the power of his works,

that he may give them the heritage of the heathen.

The works of his hands are verity and judgement;

all his commandments are sure.

He sent redemption unto his people:

he hath commanded his covenant for ever:

holy and reverend is his name.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom:

a good understanding have all they that do his commandments:

I found this funny :)

My sweet husband invited me to go hunting with him this year.

I couldn't believe it, the first time ever... after all these years.

I never thought he'd be willing to share his "guy time" with me and being the thoughtful man that he is, he even gave me an opening day present. He calls it " The First Timers Lucky Hat." I'm so fortunate to be married to him.

I have attached a picture of me in my lucky hat, and we can hardly wait until "opening day!"

Surprise!!!

Well, we went to bed last night with no snow warnings and no reason to believe that winter was coming... yet, but this is what we woke up to.

The funny thing is, ten miles away and over a hill, there was no snow... maybe a skiff here and there in areas of town, but that was it. As far as we know, this is the only area that had major snow accumulation. Nobody would believe us if we called in for a snow day!

My thankfulness for today is that God blessed me with a subaru and we made it safely to town. I love my subie. :)

Thankfulness...

I'm thankful that I have complete access to God through Jesus Christ.

I'm glad he never turns me away. His grace never runs out.

I'm so thankful that I can go directly to the throne of grace

to receive comfort and strength.

Amazing grace how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me!

I once was lost, but now am found; was blind, but now I see.

Random thankfulness...

I'm thankful for a full night's sleep!!!

It is sort of a novelty around here. :)

I was listening to a song today about God's faithfulness.

I'm so thankful that God is faithful.

He is there in the good times,

but I'm even more thankful he is there during the bad times.

He is the most faithful friend you could ever have.

Thanksgiving...

I'm thankful that Jesus Christ has the power of death and hell.

I'm thankful he paid the price for my sins so I can go to heaven.

If you have never accepted Christ as your Saviour, now is the time.

There are no words to describe the peace it brings!

I'm thankful for the beauty on a cold, clear, Montana morning.

When the sun hasn't quite risen and it turns the mountains pink.

God is an amazing artist!

We hope these posts are an encouragement to our readers and that you will share the things that God has done in your life!

Thanksgiving

I was thinking about all the things we have to thank God for. We are going into the Thanksgiving season, but do we remember to thank him throughout the entire year, or just every November? Sometimes it seems like we get so busy with our lives and deadlines and schedules that we forget that God is our life and should be the most important part of our schedule. Or we get so wrapped up in our problems and hurts that we forget to thank God for being our provider and comforter. Isn't it amazing that the Creator of the entire universe would give us his time. He comforts us when we are hurting, rebukes us when we are going the wrong direction. He walks with us through life. He is a faithful friend who will never leave or forsake us. He sticks closer than a brother. He watches over us constantly. He sent his only Son to pay the penalty for our sin so that we could spend eternity in heaven. What a Saviour!

What if...

you woke up this morning and had only the things left that you thanked God for yesterday?

Most of us would not have anything left.

God has done so much for us! He hath dealt bountifully with us.

He deserves our praise and adoration!

I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath dealt bountifully with me. (Psalm 13:6)

The kids had so much fun helping Grandpa
