Thanksgiving

I was thinking about all the things we have to thank God for. We are going into the Thanksgiving season, but do we remember to thank him throughout the entire year, or just every November? Sometimes it seems like we get so busy with our lives and deadlines and schedules that we forget that God is our life and should be the most important part of our schedule. Or we get so wrapped up in our problems and hurts that we forget to thank God for being our provider and comforter. Isn't it amazing that the Creator of the entire universe would give us his time. He comforts us when we are hurting, rebukes us when we are going the wrong direction. He walks with us through life. He is a faithful friend who will never leave or forsake us. He sticks closer than a brother. He watches over us constantly. He sent his only Son to pay the penalty for our sin so that we could spend eternity in heaven. What a Saviour!

What if...

you woke up this morning and had only the things left that you thanked God for yesterday?

Most of us would not have anything left.

God has done so much for us! He hath dealt bountifully with us.

He deserves our praise and adoration!

I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath dealt bountifully with me. (Psalm 13:6)
