I have to say, these are some of the cutest kids I've ever seen

 (not that I'm biased or anything)  :)

Here are a few pictures we got at church a few weeks ago.

Last Saturday, I took the kids to Woodland Park to feed the ducks.

Afterwards we went and got ice cream at DQ.

I hope they had fun because I sure had a blast!  :D

I thought this picture was adorable.  

They were sitting on the edge of the pond, 

trying to coax the baby ducks to come over to them.

Arthur was had so much fun that he was totally exhausted!

He feel asleep in Qdoba when we were getting dinner. :)

Quelf

This is one of our family's favorite new games.

Not only is it random, but it can be 

downright embarrassing.  :)

We played with the Russells and had a really great time.  

It was pretty hilarious!

Well, we finally have some pictures to update with!

We haven't put many on the blog because,

 to be honest, we haven't had much time.

Anyway, I'm finally getting around to it!

We were able to go out and spend 

time with friends on Saturday.

We went to Panda Express (Yummy)

Then we went up to Lone Pine and got a few pictures.

 (Thanks to Aimee for making it such a fun, relaxing evening)

It was incredibly windy up there so we were trying to make it look like we were struggling to get to the edge.  Unfortunately, the wind quit blowing right as we took the picture so our hair isn't blowing and it doesn't look very realistic.  haha  We had a good laugh looking at the picture anyway.

We nearly lost Aimee over the edge, and believe me, 

it would have been a long fall!

To end the evening, we went to Coldstone Creamery.

The mud pie ice cream was amazing!  :-)

Happy Things

Sometimes it is fun to sit back and count your blessings.
 It is good to be reminded of all that God has done for us.

-  Music students

-  Laughter

-  Thunderstorms

-  Rain covered grass and trees

-  Fresh picked flowers

-  Pixie Sticks :)
-  A friend calling or emailing you just because they care.

The list could go on and on but I'm out of time.

Remember to take time to thank God daily.

He really does care about the "little things" in our lives!

Music lessons with a 4 & 6 year old...

It was question and answer time

I was trying to get Esther and Katherine to answer
questions about the violin. 

 In this particular discussion we
were naming each part of the violin.

 Here is what took place when
we talked about the fine tuners...

Me:  "What are the tiny tuners on your violin called?"

Esther (age 6:)  "Tuning pegs."

Me:  "No."

Katherine (age 4) raises her hand and answers:  "Tuning pegs."

Me:  "No, it starts with an "F"

Esther:  "Oh, tuning Fegs!"

As a teacher, I try not to laugh at my students
when they something funny, 

but that was one time I laughed out loud.
(It is probably funnier if you were actually there
but I thought I'd share it because
 it brightened my evening!)

Kids say the funniest things!!! :-)

Complete in Christ

 Simple, yet full of wisdom...

My favorite animal...

Our teacher asked us what our favorite animal was, and I said, "Fried chicken."

She said I wasn't funny, but she couldn't have been right, everyone else in the class laughed.

My parents told me to always be truthful and honest, and I am.

Fried chicken is my favorite animal.

I told my dad what happened, and he said my teacher was probably a member of PETA.

He said they love animals very much.

I do, too. Especially chicken, pork and beef.

Anyway, my teacher sent me to the principal's office.

I told him what happened, and he laughed too.

Then he told me not to do it again.

The next day in class my teacher asked me what my favorite live animal was.

I told her it was chicken.

She asked me why, just like she'd asked the other children.

So I told her it was because you could make them into fried chicken.

She sent me back to the principal's office again.

He laughed, and told me not to do it again.I don't understand.

My parents taught me to be honest, but my teacher doesn't like it when I am.

Today, my teacher asked us to tell her what famous person we admire most. I told her, "Colonel Sanders".

Guess where I am now?

Hello There Friends!

Yesterday was a beautiful day so we went outside and snapped a few pictures.

Here are a couple of them :)

I was thinking about the words to the song Blessings today and it was a huge encouragement. As Christians we have so much to look forward to. The difficult times in our life can draw us closer to God if we allow them to. We have a hope in Christ that can get us through any dark time. Although the trials are most often unpleasant it is such an amazing thing to drawer closer to God! What a friend we have in Jesus!

We pray for blessings

We pray for peace

Comfort for family, protection while we sleep

We pray for healing, for prosperity

We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering

All the while, You hear each spoken need

Yet love us way too much to give us lesser things

I hope this post encourages someone today.

Next week we may have 3 feet of snow
