I thought all of you hunters would appreciate this true hunting story: Here's a picture of the new world record whitetail buck. It was taken by the cousin of a co-worker's sister's, uncle's, best friend's, son-in-law's, niece's hairdresser's, neighbor's ex-boyfriend's oldest nephew. Reportedly it will score 2603-1/8 by B&C standard and was shot in West Texas on a really windy day, 85 degrees downhill, around a curve at 900 yards with a .22 cal. rifle - one shot. Supposedly, this deer had killed a Brahma bull, two Land Rovers, and six Jehovah's Witnesses in the last two weeks alone. They said it was winning a fight with Bigfoot when it was shot. It has also been confirmed that the buck had been seen drinking discharge water from a nuclear power plant. All this has been checked and confirmed on Snopes. Really. Honest!!! Sincerely, Barack H. Okay, so I went to Joanna's Blog and stole these pictures from our trip to Glacier National Park the other weekend.

That was so much fun Joanna! We definitely have to go again before it snows (probably in the next few weeks. lol)

MY FIRST RODEO

Yep, That's right!

I had never been to a rodeo before.

NEVER!

I didn't even feel like a real Montanan...

But, that all changed on Friday night!

I finally went to the rodeo!

I only felt a little out of place 'cause I didn't have my cowboy boots and hat, or a pie-plate sized belt buckle, but, I still had a BLAST!

Just a word of encouragement to everyone. I recently heard a man preach about pain. What he said was such an encouragement to me and I had to share some of it with you.

It seems like sometimes God sends us down paths that are dark and seem to have no end. We lose hope. We are fearful and quite often become self-centered because we can't seem to focus on anything but our own problems. We become so focused on ourselves that we lose sight of God and what his greater plan is. God does not send us out on these journeys to see what we can accomplish on our own, but he wants us to draw closer to him through it. Sometimes he is molding us into something that we could never be if we had not gone down those paths.

Sometimes we want to be all that God wants us to be, but we don't want to suffer the pain that God wants to use to strengthen and form us for his glory. We try to short circuit-pain but in reality, we are short-circuiting God's plan and work in our lives. When you endure long-term pain, you need to remember that God has a long-term plan. (Romans 8:28) Long term pain is often God's pathway to his ministry and service. Joseph's life was a great example of how God can take pain and use it for his glory.

Just remember that whatever you are going through, God does have a long-term plan for your life. Don't stop. Don't sit around and wait. Be a faithful servant. Pain is not an excuse to sit around and not serve, instead it is a reason to serve. It is a reason to love God more and run the race will all your might. Don't lose sight of God. He is a faithful friend that will never leave nor forsake you. Don't put your trust in man or anything in this world because they will fail you. Put your trust in God!

It's Bible Time in our Town!

This is my first year to help with Neighborhood Bible Time (VBS)

We have had such a great time!

It has been fun to be able to work with children and teach them about Christ.

What a privilege and honor God has given us

lead a child to Christ!

Please pray for us this week!

I'm so excited for the next two days,

I can't wait to see what God will do!

Awww...

A few weeks ago we took a family vacation to Spokane, WA. I don't know about the rest of the family, but I just needed to get away and relax for a few days. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and I'm so glad we got to go! Actually, I wouldn't mind going back and staying for a bit longer :)

Of course, I couldn't resist putting some pictures up of our furry, little, rodent friends :)

We were there during the spring runoff and got to see the Spokane River at an incredible stage. This is in Riverfront Park in the middle of Spokane. I could have stayed there for hours enjoying the scenery.

A few months back, I heard a message on "What Wows You?" I have to say, this really "wowed" me. It was absolutely amazing! The biggest thing that "wows" me though, is that the mighty God created the powerful water and controls it all. This river amazed and intimidated me, but even more amazing is that the God who created such a thing would be my Saviour and Friend!

I couldn't stand a chance against a raging river but my best Friend and Saviour controls it all!

I kind of have a thing for bridges and this one was really beautiful :)

Of course, we had to get pictures with this giant wagon. I really wish we could get one for the church playground! lol It even has a slide in the handle!

Did I mention that I have a thing for glass front buildings...

Did I mention that I'm from Kalispell and we have nothing like it? lol

The river was incredibly intimidating after dark. Looking off the bridge into that rushing water gave me chills.

It was a really good trip and we had a very relaxing time.

We went back last weekend with Joanna and got a few more pictures that I'll post another time.

Can't wait to go back!
