Moldova Scripture Campaign
Part 3 - On the streets of Balti

During the first week in Moldova, we spent about 4 1/2 days on the streets of Balti handing out John/Romans and invitations to the evangelistic service.  The people of Moldova are searching for something.  They are searching for peace and happiness.  We know that true happiness comes from God and it was a privilege to share Hope with the people.

Renee and Amina- Amina was a young lady on the street who offered to help us handout John/Romans.  Please pray that God will touch her heart for salvation

Moldova is predominately Orthodox. Nearly everywhere you go in the city you can see a steeple from one of the churches.

Weddings were held in this big pink building nearly every day

Each day as we were walking down the streets it amazed me how many people would pass by us.  Thousands of people that most of the world doesn't even know exist.  I didn't know about Moldova until a friend told me about it.  Most people that I talk to don't know about Moldova, but there are souls there that need Christ just like us.

One thing in particular that touched my heart was the look of complete emptiness in the Moldovan's eyes as I passed them on the street each day.  My heart broke to look in their eyes-no peace, no joy, no hope.   Desperation on many faces.  On the other hand, each time I met a Moldovan who was a Christian, there was a look of peace and contentment about them, a sparkle in their eyes.  Without Christ, the people of Moldova are hopeless and empty.  They are a forgotten people.  When Christ comes in, he changes their broken hearts and fills their empty lives.  Christ will never forget them!  What a privilege to serve the Lord and share the hope of his word in Moldova!  Romans 15:13 "Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost."
